I enjoy collaborating within fast-paced teams, sharing ideas with stakeholders, fellow designers and developers throughout the project life cycle. My multi-disciplinary skill set allows me to tackle many UX / UI design roles from concept to final execution, such as interface design, wire framing, prototyping, usability testing and review, information architecture and user research.
I tend to work in Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma for interface design, occasionally Photoshop or Illustrator if required. For wire-framing and IA work I use Axure and for prototype work a combination of HTML and CSS, InVision, Figma, XD or Sketch depending on the complexity of the project and whether user testing is required.
Due to the rate of change and disruption in our industry, I always keep an eye on emerging technologies and trends within the design community. Recently I have also experimented with InVision Studio and Marvel - I'm still in search of the 'perfect' workflow!
My initial passion for the digital arts developed during my time at North Oxford Art School. I later became fascinated with the creative potential of the web whilst studying International Design at University, graduating with 1st class honours.
Experimenting with Macromedia's Flash software to begin with, by the mid 2000s I had discovered the benefits of standards compliant web design and the importance of usability through the work of Jeffrey Zeldman and Steve Krug. From then on I continued to broaden my skillset, incorporating creative, strategic and delivery experience through agency, in-house, contract and freelance roles.
